Bay Of Islands Animal Rescue proudly presents…Bear!!Bear is 8years old Huntaway. Mr Bear is an ex farm dog, who luckily came to our attention as he shows a bit of arthritis now and the farmer was going to shoot him!! Unbelievable . Bear is now in foster care and loving life with lots of snuggles, Bear is well trained and good with all animals, he is also loving the attention children are giving him. Bear will require ongoing pain meds to help alleviate his arthritis, but he is still very agile
As with all rescue dogs, Bear will need some time to settle in and will need some further training, he will be de-sexed, vaccinated, micro-chipped, treated for parasites and in good health when he goes to his forever home.

We ensure that all the animals we re-home are de-sexed, vaccinated, treated for parasites and are in good health.
A re-homing fee is charged to help us recoup part of the cost of your pet’s care during their stay with us, but by no means does this cover the full cost. Therefore we are always delighted to receive donations no matter how small!
