Bay Of Islands Animal Rescue proudly presents… Roo!
Roo is an energetic 2-year-old Sharpei mix who absolutely loves people. Her favourite things include cuddles, bones, tennis balls and food. She does have some food aggression around other dogs, but has no aggression toward people. Roo would do well in a home with an experienced owner, either as a solo dog or with another more submissive dog (she definitely prefers males). Roo is unlikely to be suited to a home with cats or chickens.
Roo needs a property with a secure boundary, as she’s a very smart cookie who loves to explore. She is house trained and settles well at night as long as she has her favourite warm bed to curl up in.
While Roo may never be dog park material, she is fantastic with people and soaks up attention like a sponge – she has absolutely flourished in foster care, and she will follow the person who adopts her to the ends of the earth.
As with all rescue dogs, Roo will need some time to settle in and will need some further training, She will be de-sexed, vaccinated, micro-chipped, treated for parasites and in good health when she goes to her forever home.
Please call her foster Leslie on 027 5010003 or email us.
The adoption fee for Roo is $300
BAY OF ISLANDS ANIMAL RESCUE
We ensure that all the animals we re-home are de-sexed, vaccinated, treated for parasites and are in good health.
A re-homing fee is charged to help us recoup part of the cost of your pet’s care during their stay with us, but by no means does this cover the full cost. Therefore we are always delighted to receive donations no matter how small!
The fee for this dog is $300.
