‘White Eye’ a catahoula x collie bitch

White Eye is approx 15 weeks old and we think is a Catahoula x Border Collie. She is currently being fostered with her sister, Zip, and both girls are full of fun and energy. They are small to medium sized at present and will end up as medium sized dogs once fully grown.

They are both in very good condition and past their vet checks with flying colours. The only behave issue we’ve observed is that they both eat extremely quickly which is most likely a result of going without food in the past. This habit isn’t unusual in rescue dogs but is easily treated with time and in some cases a special rubber dog bowl with grooves in it which makes the dog slow down when eating.

White Eye is being fostered on a farm and spends time each day playing in the paddocks with several other dogs as well has having a chance to meet geese, ducks, chickens and cattle. She is well behaved, she did bark at the cows a little the first time she meet them but it was a case of nerves as I don’t think she had seen anything that big up close before.

White Eye is good with children and would make a really loving family pet. She has tons of energy and loves to run but also likes to cuddle up with you when she gets the chance.

Both White Eye and her sister are looking for their forever homes if you think you could offer them a home please contact us using the rehoming form on this page to arrange home trial or come along and see us at The Old Packhouse Market in Kerikeri every Sunday morning.
